Good app, not worth the price though since the companion iPhone App (separate purchase) doesn’t work
I bought this app after searching for an app that allows you to upload photos and that can be used with an iPhone on the go. Unfortunately, they are both seperate AND rather expensive, but I’d already purchased the Mac version so I caved and spent a little more on the iPhone companion app. As of this review, my MacBook Pro is running OS X 10.11.3, and my iPhone 6 Plus is running iOS 9.2.1 and these two apps aren’t working well together.
The Mac version is pretty slick, you can randomize the fronts and backs of cards, add photos, there are three different modes of testing (multiple choice, fill in the blank and memorize) - this app does everything you might need for studying
The iPhone App is disappointing, and this was such a big selling point for me. It doesn’t load the flashcards from iCloud for some reason, and it crashes sometimes. The cards you make on the phone disappear as well. If I were to do this again, I’d avoid the iPhone version, and I therefore wouldn’t spend the $8 on this app, even though it works well, it’s pretty expensive for such simple tasks.
